Geoff Garrod is a gamekeeping legend. The estate where he works in the East of England is famous thanks to his Keepers Diary DVD series, which he made in the early 2000s. Now he looks back on those DVDs and explains how gamekeeping has moved on, and how gamekeepers are the best people to manage wildlife. His shooting season starts while most guns are still locked away in gun cabinets. Summer is when he hatches and rears his poults.
In the third film in our series, Geoff explains how foxshooting has moved on in his lifetime, from the days of the fox drive, via the birth of lamping to modern thermal and night vision.
In our fourth film, Geoff goes back to basics with pigeonshooting.
